LATE MR. GOLAM MOMEN

Chairman

The late Mr. Golam Momen was a stalwart of the tea industry, dedicating over 50 years to the sector. He began his career at Carrit Moran & Co., eventually serving as Chairman for an glorious 23 years, during which the company became the largest tea broking firm in the world. Later, Mr. Momen turned his attention to establishing and growing the White Cliff Group. Over the course of his career, he also held board positions in leading tea manufacturing and broking companies, gaining a reputation for his pragmatic yet empathetic approach to business.

RAZI KHAN

Partner

Razi is a dedicated team player; he would be a valuable asset to any organization. With extensive knowledge of the tea industry, including purchasing, blending, and manufacturing processes, he has built a distinguished career. He started in tea plantations at McLeod Russel in Darjeeling and Assam, gaining hands-on experience in production and workforce management. He then transitioned to Carritt Moran, a tea broking company, where he refined his skills in tasting and sales. At Harris Freeman (USA), a private label company, he specialized in private labeling and value addition. Subsequently, he spent over 12 years at Typhoo UK, working with both branded and private label businesses, before launching his own venture, Stratton Tea UK.

SAIF SERVAIA

Saif is the Managing Director of White Cliff Group, where he oversees the blending and contract packing operations for Tata Consumer Products Ltd. A certified Lead Auditor for Combined Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, he has been instrumental in the company’s consolidation and expansion efforts. Saif holds a Finance degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from IIM Calcutta. He is committed to fostering a collaborative work culture, consistently motivating and inspiring his team. His leadership has driven numerous successful projects and innovative solutions, significantly impacting the company's growth.

ANAND RATHI

Partner

Anand is the Director and CEO of the White Cliff Group, the leading blender and contract packer for Tata Consumer Products in India. In this role, he manages finance, oversees daily operations, and executes trading contracts with a focus on expanding the group's international presence. Anand holds an MSc in Finance and Banking from the University of Glasgow. His academic background, combined with extensive practical experience, provides him with a unique perspective on both financial and operational aspects of the business. Anand’s leadership is defined by a strategic vision and a collaborative approach, cultivating a culture of innovation and excellence within the team.

NITIN JALAN

Nitin, a Director and COO at the White Cliff Group, plays a crucial role with his customer-centric focus and expertise in supply chain management. He drives the group by enhancing customer satisfaction, increasing volume growth, and expanding the product range. Nitin holds an MBA in Marketing & Finance from IBS Hyderabad and has gained valuable experience through his roles at TVS-ASL in Chennai and Jeddah. His strategic vision and ability to build strong industry partnerships further enrich his expertise. Nitin’s leadership is marked by a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability.

MICHAEL ROGERS

Commodity Trader

Mike began his career at Typhoo Tea, where both of his parents worked, and retired from the same company. He started as a trainee in the packaging department, later transitioning to tea buying and blending where he was responsible for the purchasing and blend creation for large retail brands across the UK supermarket segment. His role also involved sourcing teas for Decaf, forecasting tea needs, and weekly tastings of teas from Mombasa auctions. Mike’s commitment to quality included tasting up to 500 cups of tea daily to maintain a consistent blend. Personally, he enjoys Rwanda and KTDA teas with a touch of Assam second flush, reflecting his collaborative spirit and value as a team player.

SADDAM ANSARI

Senior Executive - Operations

Saddam is a versatile professional with a strong foundation in computer science. Holding a BCA degree, he began his career in 2013 with White Cliff Group where he plays a strategic role in centrally creating and analyzing key result area performance for the operating units. In the trading wing he looks after buying, blending, data management, regulatory compliance and logistic and supply chain documentation. A relentless go getter, he leaves no stone unturned in maximizing output

Supply Chain Executive

With a dynamic background in marketing and a recent master’s degree in supply chain management, Selina brings a distinctive skill set to the workplace. As she transitions into the supply chain sector, she is committed to making a meaningful impact on both the industry and the businesses she works with, drawing on her experience in brand development. Selina’s professional goals include advancing within the supply chain field and using her expertise to support business expansion.

ARPITA NANDAN

Manager - Global Tea & Ingredient Buying

Arpita, whose passion for tea tasting began in her childhood, pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Botany, specializing in Microbiology and Microbial Technology. Since 2014, she has been immersed in the world of tea tasting, working with renowned global tea brands and gaining extensive expertise in teas from regions like Darjeeling, Assam, Dooars, Nilgiris, Ceylon, China, Nepal, Argentina, and East Africa. Her diverse experience with teas, blends, herbal infusions, and flavored varieties enhances the group's goal of broadening its product offerings and customer base.

ARPAN BAIDYA

Operations Assistant

Arpan, a dedicated professional with a BCA degree and a diploma in Food and Beverages & SAP Material Management. He is a valuable member of the organization since 2017 where he started with honing his skills in product and manufacturing processes as well as operations. In the trading wing he is responsible for constructing offers for various global and domestic buyers and is well versed with the meticulous segregation of the various types of tea including different origin, grades, certifications.
